COMPUTER VISION

Computer Vision Syndrome is defined by the American Optometric Association as that "complex of eye and vision problems related to near work, experienced during or after computer use".

If you are like most of our patients, you use a computer as part of your daily routine. However, until now there have been no specialized testing procedures and instrumentation to help those individuals who work on a computer and experience eye or vision problems. This has now changed.

We are proud to be the first practice in the Washington, DC area to be able to offer the following as part of our Computer-Eyes examination.

  • Simulated computer screen for near work testing
  • Focusing ability and stamina testing
  • Stand alone workstation on-site
  • Software for visual testing on the patients own computer at home or office
  • Display of ergonomic office products
  • Prescribing of specialized computer use eyeglass and contact lenses
